PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – Portland General Electric and a property management company are facing a $375 million wrongful death lawsuit after three people were electrocuted by a downed power line last winter.
The family of the three victims filed the lawsuit in Multnomah County Circuit Court on September 19, alleging PGE and Legacy Property Management, LLC were negligent.
The incident unfolded on January 17, 2024, outside of Columbia Vista Apartments near Northeast 122nd and Siskiyou Street in the Russell Neighborhood, where authorities said a branch fell onto a power line.
