Street takeover ends with towed vehicle, driver on the run

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – A vehicle that was reportedly involved in a possible street takeover was towed late Tuesday night, according to Portland police.

Patrol officers in the area of SE 151st Avenue and Stark Street saw the vehicle and marked it as suspicious, reporting that it had been street racing.

The officers tried to stop the vehicle, but said the driver “brought the vehicle to a halt and fled on foot.”
