Former security guard sentenced to 16 years for 2015 rape at Portland Rite Aid: ‘Justice does prevail’

PORTLAND, Oregon — A former security guard was sentenced Friday to more than 16 years, or 200 months, in prison for raping a woman he accused of shoplifting at a Portland Rite Aid in 2015.

Daniel Luis Cassinelli, a former loss prevention officer, was found guilty earlier this year in Multnomah County Court.
