U.S. Rep. Janelle Bynum, D-Oregon, did not equivocate when she looked straight into the camera and told a news correspondent earlier this week, “There will be no federal takeover of Portland, Oregon.”
She was so clear on her message that she left it at that, and then continued to silently stare into the camera. That silence led Ike Ejiochi, the correspondent interviewing her on ABC News Live, to assume there had been technical difficulties.
“I think we have some issues there,” Ejiochi said, wrapping up, until he noticed Bynum was still there…
