PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Oregon Gov. Tina Kotek said members of the Texas National Guard are being deployed to Oregon even though she “received no direct explanation from President Trump or Secretary Hegseth about the specific need for this action. It is unclear how many will go to what location and what mission they will carry out.”
Kotek said “the Department of War has ordered the Texas Adjutant General to deploy 400 Texas National Guard members to ‘Illinois, Oregon, and other locations throughout the United States.’”

This comes just hours after Oregon added California as a complainant to their lawsuit opposing troops deployments to Portland. Early Sunday, Trump ordered California National Guard members deployed to Portland.
