Name released of man injured in shootout at Shell gas station with Portland police

PORTLAND Ore. (KPTV) – Portland police have released the name of a man who was injured in an alleged shootout with officers in southeast Portland in September.

On Saturday, PPB said the suspect was identified as 30-year-old Bryan Velasco-Ruelas of Portland.

On Sept. 20, just before 9 a.m., officers were called to a disturbance at a gas station in the area of Southeast Foster Road and Southeast 84th Avenue. Upon arrival, officers were told a man had threatened an employee at the gas station, but he had left before they arrived…
