Federal helicopters circling Portland ICE facility draw noise complaints from South Waterfront neighbors

PORTLAND, Ore. (KPTV) – Concerns over hovering helicopters have been growing as they continue to circle above the city’s ICE facility. The Port of Portland said they appear to be related to federal law enforcement activity.

With federal helicopters flying in the area around the ice facility over the last week and a half, neighbors living near the facility said the helicopters have changed the South Waterfront area.

“I don’t see the need for them, they’re just loud, I live here, I hear them all evening long, I don’t know what good they’re doing,” said neighbor Brian Nelson…
