Court docs: ICE counter-protester punches woman in the face as she tries to leave protest

PORTLAND, Ore. (KATU) — A Portland man is charged with 4th degree assault after he allegedly punched a woman trying to leave a protest at the Portland ICE facility over the weekend.

According to court documents, a woman told an officer she and her daughter had attended a demonstration on Saturday, and were going to their parked car to leave.

She said counter protesters surrounded her car, and wouldn’t let her leave. When she got out of her car, a man standing at the back of the vehicle punched her in the head, knocking her to the ground…
