Deputies: 2 dead of gunshot wounds in apparent murder-suicide in Vancouver store

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — An investigation is underway after two men were found dead of gunshot wounds inside a Vancouver convenience store Friday evening in what law enforcement officials are describing as an apparent murder-suicide.

At 5:22 p.m., the Clark County Sheriff’s Office said they responded to a shooting at the 7-Eleven store at 6212 NE Hwy 99 in Hazel Dell.

When they arrived, deputies and other first responders located the two men inside the store with gunshot wounds. They were both taken to a hospital, where they were later declared dead.

“The Clark County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit (MCU) responded to the scene and is investigating.  Based on initial statements and evidence, this incident appears to be a murder-suicide.  The deceased victim was an employee at the store and had no apparent connection with the deceased suspect,” the Clark County Sheriff’s Office said in a press release…
