Portland woman faces federal charge after she ‘lunged’ at officer near ICE building

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A Portland woman is facing a felony charge after officials said she assaulted a federal officer outside the Immigration and Customs Enforcement building in South Portland.

According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, on Oct. 18, Elizabeth Leslie was arrested after she “lunged and struck an officer in the chest” while they tried to clear a path for a vehicle exiting the ICE building.

Leslie made her first appearance in court on Monday on one charge of assaulting a federal officer.
