Mom of 2 shot outside Gresham bar now paralyzed

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) β€” A 30-year-old woman, shot outside a Gresham sports bar, is now paralyzed from an incident where her sister said she was just in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Myranda Rice was shot around 2:30 a.m. Sunday outside the Division Sports Pub. She was rushed to a Portland hospital and underwent emergency surgery. But she woke with no feeling in her legs.

Her sister, Jessica Hawash, told KOIN 6 News that when Rice woke up from surgery, she said, β€œHe tried to kill me for no reason. I was just trying to help.”…
