BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) — The sentencing of Samson Garner, convicted of plotting a mass shooting at the 2023 Smith Rock State Park Craggin’ Classic climbing event, is set for Thursday afternoon at the Deschutes County Courthouse.
Garner, 41, was found guilty by a jury in September of all 26 felony counts, including attempted murder, assault, and unlawful use of a weapon, following a three-week trial. The jury reached their verdict swiftly after hearing graphic evidence of Garner’s violent ideations, threatening messages, and possession of extensive tactical gear and firearms.
