Several businesses are offering help to people slated to lose SNAP benefits due to the federal government shutdown. Most businesses are offering help starting on Nov. 1, when SNAP users are expected to expire.
KATU is compiling a list of those businesses and will be updated as we hear from more businesses.

“Starting November 1st we will provide free sack lunches. These are intended for those who are losing their SNAP benefits. Each sack lunch will have a PB&J, Chips/Vegetable Pouch, and Juice Box,” the local shop said on Facebook.
