PORTLAND, Ore. — A more-than-century-old Portland restaurant is at risk of closing.
Dan & Louis Oyster Bar has been part of the fabric of downtown Portland since 1907, but owners Keoni and Michelle Wachsmuth told KGW the last five years have been incredibly tough.
“We used to have a great lunch business, a great happy hour business, people were down here working and living — and since COVID, we’ve just seen so many people have moved away, so many businesses have closed, less tourists come,” Michelle Wachsmuth said. “When the tourist season ended this year, business stopped. It’s been the slowest September and October that we have ever seen.”…
