Early Morning Apartment Fire on SW Erickson Avenue Displaces Seven Beaverton Residents

Early this morning, firefighters in Beaverton responded to a fire at a two-story apartment complex on the 5800 block of Southwest Erickson Avenue. The incident began at 6:36 a.m. after several 911 calls reported smoke and flames from a lower unit. Police officers arrived and found one person outside and two others on a second-floor balcony. Fire crews rescued the two individuals from the balcony.

Other teams worked to put out the fire and search the building. Four people were treated at the scene and taken for further medical care. The fire affected four apartment units and displaced seven residents. The American Red Cross is assisting those residents.

Firefighters brought the fire under control after ventilating the building and extinguishing the flames. Investigators found that the fire started in a lower unit and spread to nearby areas. The cause is still under investigation…
