Portland man tried to sneak loaded gun into jail in his underwear

HILLSBORO, Ore. (KPTV) – A Washington County jury has found Jerone Enrico Cuie, of Portland, guilty of several charges after police found he tried to smuggle a loaded gun into jail, according to authorities.

Cuie was convicted on November 6, 2025, of possession of a weapon by an inmate, felon in possession of a firearm, and supplying contraband.

According to court records, Beaverton police pulled Cuie over on August 30, 2025, after spotting a fake registration tag on his car. Officers found that his driver’s license was suspended and he was wanted for violating probation on a prior felony…
