Portland man charged in connection with second deadly shooting

PORTLAND, Ore. — A Portland man being held in jail after a 2024 deadly shooting has now been charged with a second alleged murder, according to the Portland Police Bureau, this one from two years prior.

On Tuesday, a Multnomah County grand jury indicted Alexander Emanuel Warren, 36, on charges of second-degree murder and felon in possession of a firearm.

The charges stem from the January 2022 shooting of Jaquan Jamaul Jenkins, 26. It happened at Northwest 2nd Avenue and Couch Street in Old Town in the early hours of a Friday morning. PPB said they arrived to find Jenkins suffering from a gunshot wound, and he later died…
