Explosive temper: Court docs say Beaverton man targeted ex girlfriend, man with bomb

PORTLAND, Ore. (KATU) — A Beaverton man is facing a charge of attempted murder and several other complaints after police say he detonated a bomb at a Cornelius apartment.

According to court documents, police responded early in the morning on Oct. 6 to a reported explosion and gunshots into a front door at an apartment at 267 North 10th St. A person living there told police he had opened his front door about 4 a.m. and saw a white man dressed in all black wearing a ski mask in the stairwell.

The man said he shut the door and then heard something making a “tink tink tink” sound before the explosion, which sent debris flying into his doorway. Investigators said they also recovered several shell casings from the door…
