PORTLAND, Ore. (KATU) — A group of veterans joined other protesters on Tuesday night for a Veterans Day demonstration at the Portland ICE building.
The Veterans National Day of Action started at Elizabeth Caruthers Park in South Portland before the group marched at 5 p.m., heading for the ICE facility several blocks away.
Organizers said they left flowers at the facility “in honor of those who have been detained and harmed.”…
