PORTLAND, Ore. — A woman says her daily morning walk in Northeast Portland turned into a nightmare when an unleashed dog charged at her and bit her leg, leaving her hospitalized and facing multiple surgeries.
The woman, who asked not to be named, said she was finishing her regular route near the 3100 block of Northeast Dekum Street on the morning of Oct. 28 when she noticed a man and a woman standing nearby with a dog off its leash. She crossed the street to give them space, but before she could reach the sidewalk, the dog ran toward her.
“The dog just charged from there, and he just hold my leg, this one,” she said. “The dog was holding my leg so tight, even when I was kicking my leg.”…
