PORTLAND, OREGON — November 6, 2025 – A police chase in Oregon took an unexpected turn last week when a man fleeing in a stolen car crashed directly into a woman driving another stolen vehicle, authorities confirmed. Both drivers were taken into custody after the astonishing coincidence.

According to the Portland Police Bureau, officers attempted to stop Randy Lee Cooper, who was reportedly driving recklessly through traffic in a stolen vehicle. When Cooper refused to pull over, police initiated a brief pursuit that ended when he crashed head-on into another car — which, as it turned out, was also stolen.

Two Stolen Cars, One Crash

The collision occurred in the downtown Portland area, where officers quickly discovered that the second driver, Kristin Nicole Begue, was operating a vehicle that had been reported stolen several weeks earlier.
