GRESHAM, Ore. (KATU) — Deputies used a Taser and less-lethal rounds to take a man into custody after he allegedly “threatened to kill officers and deputies” on the MAX line in Gresham early Friday morning.
Just after 1 a.m., Multnomah County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to reports from TriMet that a man had a knife and had threatened employees on the MAX line along East Burnside at NW Eleven Mile Avenue in Gresham.
Officials say based on the preliminary investigation, TriMet employees asked the man to leave and he refused. Before police arrived, TriMet security pepper sprayed the man after he threatened the employees with an “edged weapon.”…
