On Friday evening, November 14, 2025, the Portland Police Bureau (PPB) monitored a protest near the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) building in South Portland. The Rapid Response Team and Dialogue Liaison Officers were present. These officers communicate with demonstrators and can make arrests. Portland Fire & Rescue also assisted. Police maintained a presence in the area during the event.
No arrests were made at this protest. The total number of arrests from recent nightly protests in the South Waterfront area is now 67. The PPB stated it does not take part in immigration enforcement, following Directive 810.10. The bureau is responsible for public safety and enforcing state laws…
