PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A Beaverton man has been convicted after hurling racial slurs at a neighbor during a road-rage incident.
Jacob Michael Anderson was found guilty of reckless driving and first-degree bias crime on Monday, Nov. 10, according to the Washington County District Attorney’s Office. Court documents show the 35-year-old man’s charges center on an incident that occurred on May 17, 2024.

Officials reported that he and an Asian American man, who lived across the street from him, left their homes for work around the same time that day. Authorities said the victim told investigators he saw Anderson “tailgating him and driving erratically” on their residential street with a speed limit of 25 miles per hour.
According to the District Attorney’s Office, the defendant damaged his neighbor’s vehicle and a parked vehicle as he drove by “at a high rate of speed.” Authorities said Anderson proceeded to approach the victim “in a menacing manner” and call him a racial slur after they both parked in the middle of the road…
