Dog rescued from crash in Hillsboro

HILLSBORO Ore. (KPTV) – A Hillsboro police officer rescued a dog after a traffic crash this week and later helped a stranded driver get back on the road, according to the Hillsboro Police Department.

Officers responded to a two-car crash near West Baseline Road and Southwest Dennis Avenue, where they found a dog stuck inside one of the damaged cars. The car’s doors wouldn’t open, prompting one officer to crawl through the trunk to reach the animal, according to the department. Police said the dog was not hurt and was quickly reunited with its owner.

Shortly after the dog rescue, a ride arrived for one of the people involved in the crash, only for that driver to find they had a flat tire. The same officer stepped in again, using a jack to help fix the tire so the driver could make it home…
