One injured in disturbance at Reed neighborhood’s ‘Trader Joe’s’

The parking lot of the Trader Joe’s store on S.E. Chavez Blvd. (formerly 39th) in the Reed neighborhood was already filled with after-work shoppers’ cars on Monday evening, October 13.

At 5:56 p.m., five Central Precinct police cruisers were dispatched to an unspecified “disturbance” — which soon was upgraded to an “Assault—Priority”, bringing a total of nine officers – including a police dog canine team – to the store.

“Officers who responded to this call determined there was an assault involving two people known to each other,” PPB Public Information Manager Mike Benner later told THE BEE…
