Portland Resident Sentenced to 18 Years for Violent Assault and Robbery of Housemate

On November 21, 2025, Raymond Maurice Mosley, 43, of Portland, was sentenced to 220 months in prison by Multnomah County Circuit Court Judge Shelley Russell. Mosley will also serve three years of post-prison supervision. The sentence follows his conviction for crimes committed in 2023. These include first and second-degree assault, two counts of first-degree robbery, unauthorized use of a vehicle, unlawful use of a weapon, coercion, menacing, and strangulation.

Deputy District Attorney Abbie Tornquist prosecuted the case. The Multnomah County District Attorney’s Office recognized the work of Gresham Police Officer Bryan Kamaka and several victim advocates and investigators.

The incident began in April 2022. Mosley and the victim were living together. After the victim tried to exchange a winning lottery ticket for Mosley in Wilsonville, she was robbed of the cash in Portland.
