Police: Man arrested after spitting, people spray each other with irritant at Portland ICE protest

Portland police intervened in a handful of scuffles at the South Portland Immigration and Customs Enforcement facility on Saturday night.

Officers arrested one person, 51-year-old Preston Reyes of Gresham, on suspicion of misdemeanor harassment after they allege he spit on another person. Reyes initially ran away from the scene, police said in a news release, but they later arrested him.

Police also saw multiple people “spraying each other with irritant spray,” the news release said…
