Lawsuit over deadly Fairview plane crash dismissed

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — The lawsuit filed over a deadly crash in Fairview last year was officially dismissed by the courts over the plaintiff’s failures in the legal process.

That crash happened on August 31 last year when a twin-engine plane went down near the Troutdale airport and crashed into a townhome, killing 75-year-old Barbara MacDonald, who was sleeping at the time. The crash also killed two other people.

Services share mixed feelings ahead of Wilson’s deadline

MacDonald’s partner then filed a $10 million wrongful death lawsuit alleging negligence against Emerald Aircrafters for not adequately maintaining and inspecting the plane, as well as Circle Capital for not further ensuring the plane’s control, flight and fuel systems were “airworthy” and safe to operate.The crash left thousands without power that day and displaced three other families…
