Downed power lines ignite tree, vehicle in Northeast Portland

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Fire crews responded to multiple downed power lines in Northeast Portland early Friday morning

Shortly after 5:00 a.m., Portland Fire & Rescue said that crews were responding to an active and arcing downed power line near Northeast 22nd Avenue and North Bryant Street.

Officials said that the wire had ignited nearby vegetation, and crews worked quickly to extinguish the blaze.
