In 2014 Melissa Kosta took her dog, Zoe, into a Gresham animal clinic for a routine removal of a cyst.
Hours later Zoe was brought out shaved, stapled, and stitched. The couple was told the dog had cancer, though no tests were ever shared. They never gave authorization for such extensive, expensive surgery.
The following days Zoe wouldn’t shut her eyes, sleep, or stop crying/howling. She wouldn’t eat. Eventually the decision was made to put her down…
