Massachusetts woman arrested at Portland ICE protest says counter-protester provoked her

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — The total number of arrests made by Portland Police at the ongoing demonstration outside the city’s Immigration and Customs Enforcement facility is now 70.

Police arrested 52-year-old Massachusetts woman Letitia Johnson on Saturday evening near the ICE building. Officers said they interrupted a disturbance and arrested her on one count of harassment, according to a press release.

“He baited me and I took it,” Johnson told KOIN 6 News.

While in town visiting her son, Johnson said she wanted to check out the demonstration at the ICE facility. She said she wanted to see for herself if it matched what has been depicted in the national media…
