Clark County renews search for missing teen tied to 1970s serial killer

CLARK COUNTY Wash. (KPTV) – The Clark County Sheriff’s Office released an update on a serial killer investigation dating back to the 1970s on Friday, after investigators said they found and spoke with a possible witness.

Earlier in 2025, detectives asked for help to find a man they believed may have had information “relevant” to the disappearance of 16-year-old Jamie Grissim, believed to be an early victim of convicted serial killer Warren Leslie Forrest in 1971.

Grissim was reported missing in December 1971. In the Spring of 1972, her high school identification was found on the side of the road in Dole Valley, about 1.5 miles north of where two other victims’ remains were discovered in 1974.
