Police seeking ‘Holiday Grinch’ after repeat package thefts from Gladstone porches

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Officials are asking the public’s help in identifying a man who has been caught two separate times stealing packages off front porches in Gladstone.

The first theft was reported on Nov. 26, when police say the “Holiday Grinch” took packages from a resident near Webster Road and Los Verdes Drive.

The suspect struck again on Saturday, taking multiple packages in the area of East Clarendon Street. Police say he was seen following a delivery vehicle while driving a Land Rover, then “quickly made off with the packages.”

For any residents who are concerned with packages being stolen from their front porch during the holiday season, Gladstone police have also announced the return of their annual “Santa Squad” service.

Residents can have their small packages sent directly to the police department and then pick them up from there. Officials say the service is available now through Dec. 23rd…
