Neighbors: ICE agents arrest dad driving kids to school in N Portland, shoot pepper balls

PORTLAND Ore. (KPTV) – ICE agents detained a father in front of his children Thursday morning in north Portland’s St. John’s neighborhood, prompting community outcry and raising questions about enforcement tactics near schools.

The arrest occurred around 9 a.m. on North Fessenden Street as families were taking children to school. Witnesses said three ICE vehicles surrounded a van carrying a man and his children.
