Man who shot at 2 Portland officers gets 20 years in prison

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A convicted felon was sentenced to an additional 20 years behind bars for attempting to kill two Portland police officers in a shooting back in 2021.

On Friday, 31-year-old Christian Fitz-Henry was handed down the sentence after a jury found him guilty of two counts of first-degree attempted murder with a gun, two counts of unlawful use of a weapon with a gun and felon in possession of a firearm.

Last year, Fitz-Henry was sentenced to 10 years in prison for first-degree robbery and being a felon in possession of a firearm in a separate case.

The total prison time he will now serve with this new conviction is 30 years, the Multnomah County District Attorney’s Office said…
