Multnomah County leaders call for overhaul of drug deflection program

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – Calls are growing louder in Multnomah County to overhaul the County’s drug deflection program after new data showed it is falling short of getting people into addiction treatment.

Several county leaders, including the District Attorney, now say incentives alone are not working and that stronger accountability is needed.
