Oregon Jewish groups are adding security to their Hanukkah celebrations tonight, but the largest events in the state all plan to go ahead.
About 1,000 people usually gather in Portland’s Pioneer Square to light a large black Hanukkah menorah and eat the traditional latkes, or potato pancakes, to begin the eight-day Jewish holiday.
