PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Two people were arrested, with one accused of assaulting a police officer, during a protest outside the Portland Immigration and Customs Enforcement facility on Friday night, authorities said.
The Portland Police Bureau said they were monitoring the protest outside the South Macadam Avenue facility. Around 9:30 p.m., PPB officers saw a driver stop his car, get out and confront a man near South Moody Avenue and South Bancroft Street.
“The driver hit the man’s phone out of his hand. Officers immediately arrested the suspect,” PPB said in a press release.
