19-year-old accused of punching riders at Portland-area TriMet stations

PORTLAND Ore. (KPTV) – Multnomah County prosecutors say a 19-year-old Portland man punched two people at TriMet locations in separate attacks about a month apart.

Sincere William Alexander Hunter was arrested Dec. 10 by transit police after an assault at the Parkrose Transit Center, court records show. A man told officers he was followed off a TriMet bus by someone he didn’t know, confronted on a MAX platform and punched in the face. Surveillance video supported the account, records say, and officers arrested Hunter nearby on Sandy Boulevard. The victim reported swelling and pain around his left eye.

Hunter was arraigned Dec. 11 on charges of fourth-degree assault, harassment and interfering with public transportation. Prosecutors said he remained in custody because he had three outstanding warrants, including one related to another alleged assault…
