Portland Teen Charged with Multiple Assaults on TriMet Public Transit

A 19-year-old from Portland faces multiple charges after two reported incidents of unprovoked assault on public transit were brought to the attention of local authorities. Court documents revealed incidents occurring a month apart, with the suspect, Sincere William Alexander Hunter, accused of attacking strangers on the TriMet system.

On December 10, a man reported being followed off a bus and punched at the Parkrose Transit Center, an assault confirmed by CCTV and led to Hunter’s arrest on Northeast Sandy Boulevard; he was arraigned on December 11 on charges of fourth-degree assault, harassment, and interfering with public transportation, as per court records obtained by KPTV.

In a similar episode on November 17, a man standing on a TriMet train near NE 82nd Avenue and Halsey Street was punched by an unidentified individual, triggering a police response.
