Suspects smash vehicle into SE Portland House of Pipes on Christmas Eve

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Police are investigating after a smash-and-grab burglary caused thousands in damages to a House of Pipes location in Southeast Portland on Christmas Eve.

According to Portland police, the burglary was reported in the 4100 block of Southeast Hawthorne just after 5:30 a.m.

Further investigation revealed multiple suspects used a vehicle to “completely destroy the front windows and glass door,” causing significant damage, police said.
