Portland Mayor Wilson reflects on first year, highlights success of 1,500 shelter beds

PORTLAND, Ore. — Mayor Keith Wilson laid out several ambitious goals for Portland through his first year in office, and in a letter sent out Tuesday, he reflected on what transpired through 2025.

The mayor took office as the city transitioned to a new form of government. Portland left behind the commission form of government established back in 1913 in lieu of a mayor-council form with a city manager.
