It’s a very grand reopening for Beaverton’s favorite Japanese restaurant

Sambi Japanese Restaurant, a beloved family-owned Japanese restaurant in Beaverton, officially reopened in November after a seven-month renovation, welcoming guests back with a beautifully refreshed space and a renewed vision for the future.

For 25 years, Sambi has been operated by the Ogawa family, who originally came from Japan and built a loyal local following through their dedication to authentic Japanese cuisine. With the retirement of Taichi Ogawa’s parents, the restaurant has now been passed on to a new generation of owners: Taichi Ogawa (from Kanagawa, Japan), Noriaki Kojima (from Nagano, Japan), and Masayuki Tadokoro (from Miyazaki, Japan).

Joining the leadership team is Suguru Ishikawa (from Shizuoka, Japan), who serves as manager and kitchen chef, bringing strong operational experience and hands-on culinary expertise to the restaurant’s day-to-day operations…
