PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A driver was rescued, then given a DUII after officials say he lost control of his car, plunging 20 feet down an embankment in Troutdale early Sunday morning.
Just before 1 a.m., emergency dispatchers received a crash notification from a cell phone near Southeast Troutdale Road and Division Drive.

Since the phone line remained open and no one responded on the other end, dispatchers used GPS to find the phone’s location, showing the phone and the vehicle were off the road.
Multnomah County sheriff’s deputies then responded to the area, finding the vehicle down a 20-foot embankment and the driver yelling for help.
