Portland man arrested after fleeing deputies, crashing stolen truck in Bend, DCSO says

BEND, Ore. — A 21-year-old Portland man was arrested Sunday after fleeing deputies and crashing a stolen pickup truck in northeast Bend, the Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office said.

Deputies were called at 7:36 a.m. about a driver who appeared impaired on U.S. Highway 97. They spotted a Ford F-350 that had sideswiped the median near Empire Avenue.
