HILLSBORO, Ore. — In a week when many families are trying to keep life normal, Hillsboro City Council took another step toward building an on-the-ground response to the fear, disruption, and economic fallout tied to federal immigration enforcement activity in our city.

At a December 16, 2025 work session, Council members unanimously approved moving forward on two new community support programs totaling $450,000, aimed at keeping people housed and keeping small businesses alive.
