Suspect in fatal Vancouver sports bar shooting turns self in to police

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — The suspect accused in the fatal shooting of a man in a Vancouver sports bar parking lot turned himself in to police Sunday afternoon, officials said.

The shooting happened at around 1 a.m. Saturday when officers responded to the Off-Ramp Sports Bar on Northeast 112th Avenue.

Witnesses told police two men got into an argument. After the two took the fight outside, gunshots were heard.

When officers arrived, they found a 43-year-old man dead in the parking lot. The shooter had already left the area.

The following day, Vancouver police said the suspect, 28-year-old Jared D. Taylor, turned himself in at the Vancouver Police Department’s West Precinct…
