PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A prominent Portland-area chef has been charged with domestic violence.
Luna Contreras, the chef behind the Mexican pop-up restaurant and hot sauce line Chelo, was arrested Dec. 19 on four misdemeanor charges, including domestic violence.

According to court documents, Contreras arrived at her intimate partner’s residence intoxicated. She allegedly began grabbing and touching her partner aggressively and put her hands around her neck. Contreras is also accused of throwing a glass bottle at her. Contreras partner then pushed her outside and locked the door.
When the building’s security arrived, Contreras reportedly attempted to use a taser on an officer’s leg. The security officers were able to take the taser before anyone was hit, according to court documents…
