Two popular Oregon-founded cannabis edible brands plan merger

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Two Oregon-based leaders of the $4.8 billion cannabis edible market are joining forces.

Wyld is slated to acquire Grön sometime in the first quarter of 2026, both companies announced on Monday. The merger is “about scaling a brand that’s already winning,” Wyld founder and CEO Aaron Morris said in a statement.

“Grön has built exceptional products and a deeply trusted brand,” Morris added. “Our goal is to support its continued growth by pairing Grön’s creativity and innovation with Wyld’s infrastructure, reach, and operational strength — without compromising what makes Grön special.”

Former architect Christine Apple founded Grön in 2015, now selling a variety of gummies and chocolates infused with cannabis. Wyld launched in Central Oregon the following year and, a decade later, boasts the title of “America’s best-selling cannabis gummy brand.”…
